The Book

You don't have to get up from your chair to change the direction of your life.

Choga is the gentle, chair-based practice I've been teaching since 2011, now in a book you can keep beside your favorite chair. A full guided practice you can do from any chair, in as little as five minutes.

New to this?

You probably have a few questions. Good. Here are the honest answers.

These are the same questions almost everyone asks before their first class.

  • Do I need special equipment? Just a regular chair, the kind already in your kitchen or living room. Nothing to buy.
  • What if I have zero flexibility? Perfect. That's exactly who this is built for. We breathe and stretch at whatever range your body has today.
  • Is this only for older or disabled people? No. It's for all ages and all abilities.

What to expect

Here's exactly what a class feels like

No surprises, nothing to prepare beyond a chair and a few open minutes.

  1. 01

    Take a seat

Literally. Settle into your chair, feet grounded, no mat required.

  2. 02

    Breathe together

We open with mindful breathing to settle the nervous system before we move.

  3. 03

    Gentle, guided movement

Seated stretches and supportive movement, paced for your body, not a demonstration to keep up with.

  4. 04

    Rest and reflect

We close with a dreamlike meditation, and many students leave feeling calmer than when they arrived.

As always, please check with your doctor before beginning any new movement practice. More about classes

Founder and teacher

Hi, I'm VictoriAnn.

In 2010, I founded the original YogaMobileStudio to bring yoga to people who couldn't access traditional studios. Over the years I became certified in several modalities of health, meditation, breathing, and nutrition, but chair yoga captured my heart because of its accessibility.

So I took it one step further and created Rehabilitation Choga: seated movement, mindful breathing, and dreamlike meditation for anyone recovering from surgery, illness, injury, or just dealing with life.

  • More than 30 years of practice, 16 of them teaching
  • Yoga Alliance Certified
  • Breathwork Coaching
  • Yoga Nidra and Meditation
