Classes

Come as you are. Bring a chair.

Rehabilitation Choga is seated movement, mindful breathing, and dreamlike meditation. Nothing to buy, nothing to prove, and no mat required.

How classes work

Gentle, guided, and paced for your body.

Every class happens in a chair, the kind already in your kitchen or living room. We move at whatever range your body has today, with no judgment and no pretzel poses.

Any chair works: a kitchen chair, a wheelchair, or the recliner you're healing in. Choga is seated movement without a chair as a prop, so the practice meets you where you are.

You don't need to keep up with anyone. I guide you through breath and movement, and your version of each movement is the right version.

Who it's for

All ages, all abilities.

If you're recovering from surgery, illness, an injury, or simply a hard season of life, and you find more comfort sitting or reclining, you're in the right place.

  • Zero flexibility? Perfect. That's exactly who this is built for.
  • Living with arthritis, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, or fibromyalgia? This practice was written with real bodies in mind.
  • Chronic back pain, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, or carpal tunnel? We move gently and breathe through it.
  • Anxious or overwhelmed? Breathing and meditation are at the heart of every class.
  • Limited mobility or a wheelchair user? Come as you are. You never have to stand.
What to expect

A class, step by step

Nothing to prepare beyond a chair and a few open minutes. Here is how every class unfolds.

  1. 01

    Take a seat

Settle into your chair, feet grounded, no mat required. Arrive however you are today.

  2. 02

    Breathe together

We open with mindful breathing to settle the nervous system before we move. Breath leads, and the body follows.

  3. 03

    Gentle, guided movement

Seated stretches and supportive movement, paced for your body. It's not a demonstration to keep up with, and nothing is a test.

  4. 04

    Rest and reflect

We close with a dreamlike meditation, and many students leave feeling calmer than when they arrived.

A gentle note before you begin

As with any new physical practice, please check with your doctor before you begin. Listen to your body, move within your own range, and know that showing up imperfectly still counts as showing up.
